The apartments are located between Lago (Lake) Victoria and the sea. This affords it delightful views in each direction. In the far distance are the spectacular Sierra Nevada mountains and their foothills in the foreground. Between the sea and the apartment complex there is the beach, promenade and gardens which comprise an enormous swimming pool, tennis courts and lawns. The promenade takes you on an easy walk into the marina of Almerimar, which is a small but vibrant marina with many bars and some very cosmopolitan restaurants.

To drive to the apartments from Almeria airport will take approximately half an hour. To get to Malaga airport the journey time is in the order of two hours. Although there are slightly more flights into Malaga airport, than Almeria, the gulf is rapidly narrowing. Ryanair and Easyjet fly daily from London with the latter flying twice a day. There are also many other charters that arrive, and of course several flights from regional UK airports.

It is possible to ski in the winter months by driving towards Granada and heading into Europe's southernmost ski resort. In the summer the same drive is fantastically beautiful and if finished in Granada, very rewarding to stroll around the Alhambra, the palace / fortress on the hill.

In the opposite direction there are numerous delights, starting with the city of Almeria. Almeria has a very strong Islamic feel to it in parts of the old town, a reflection of 900 years of Islamic rule in years gone by. There are fabulous tiny streets with cafes, bars and restaurants, squares full of charm and all full of history. A castle looks over the city, and originally provided the city with its name - in Arabic 'the watchtower' translates as 'al-mariyya'. Further east there is the now famous, and very beautiful, Cabo de Gata and its National Park stretching along the coast.

Almeria is the hottest and driest place in Europe with over 3000 hours of annual sunshine, which averages close to 8.5 hours of sunshine every day of the year!
