Where to advertise and what to say... Advertising your room is easy if you know how! So here are a a few tips to help you! Firstly, where to advertise? There are lots of free places to advertise your room - here are a few, if you know of any more, use them (and let us know too!)-
It is a simple fact that the more places you put adverts on, the more people that will see it! This then means more people will be interested, and the chances of you finding someone for your room is considerably greater. Think carefully about which categories you place your advert - for instance if there is an option for making the room available for couples, make sure you do, but don't exclude a single, or two sharers. If this means that you need to put several adverts on to cover all the possibilities - DO! if you put your advert in a category for "Whole Room with One Double Bed, North of the River", could you also put it in "Whole Room with Multiple Beds, North of the River" - beds can be moved around! Also think about what your flat has to offer. Is it newly refurbished? Is it a big flat/house? Is there a TV in the lounge? Is there a dish washer? Do you have a microwave? Are all the bills included? Is there a cleaner included? Is it convenient to public transport (buses as well as tubes or trains)? All of this additional information will make people want to come and see your room. So your advert might look like this;
